I’m a former Hillary supporter that changed over to Obama. I’m not crazy about our political system or the way we choose our representatives. The political climate the 2008 election created was very divisive and fearful which isn’t what’s necessary for tough times. My dream is for more tolerance and unity. Don’t think we’ll see much of that in 2012.

I have four (I counted them once) children aged 18-24 and one husband. I have millions of interests coupled with a very low tolerance for boredom. I probably make a fairly poor traditional female. I have training in Advertising Art and Design, Anthropology and Psychology. Have graduate classes in English and went back to college at NYU in Social Work. I have my LMSW but am a little discouraged by the profession.

I love to laugh and make people laugh. I love creative projects. I silkscreen, batik, draw, macrame, design jewelry, write a lot and read almost anything. I love comics, graphic novels, have a huge collection of cds and love all kinds of music. I go to concerts in NYC often, my favorite is Irving Plaza. Favorite band at the moment is Rise Against (previously AFI). I don’t like chick flicks, never seen Titanic, Forrest Gump or Fried Green Tomatoes. I like horror, action adventure, fantasy, murder mysteries etc… Favorite movies: Live Free or Die Hard, Sin City, Kill Bill, Silent Hill, any Lethal Weapon, Stigmata, Mirrormask, yea I know I know… I also enjoy animation like Hellsing, Witchhunter Robin, Broken Saints, Elfen Lied. Strange but true.

I have been told all my life that I should grow up and I’ve never really fit in completely anywhere. I see no real point to changing what I like to do into what someone else thinks I should want to do.
So here I am, wondering about politics as usual.
